LEEDS PIANO TRAIL

I was commissioned to create a playable piano sculpture for the Leeds Piano Trail, part of the Leeds International Piano Competition 2021.

Now a lively fixture in Kirkgate Market’s event space, the piano invites visitors to sit down and play. Its design draws inspiration from contemporary graphic music scores—using bold shapes, lines, and colours instead of traditional notation.

A sculptural score sits atop the piano, sparking creativity and encouraging everyone to compose their own music.
